What We Do

Emergency Response
Beyond fire emergencies, we extend our service to the community by responding to various public service requests, including critical medical situations such as CPR in progress, choking incidents, and urgent medical calls, ensuring comprehensive support and care for all citizens in need.

North Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company (NFVFC) serves a 7.3-square-mile area in Washington County, Pennsylvania, encompassing residential, commercial, and rural properties. Our three stations, located within North Franklin Township are surrounded by Amwell, Buffalo, Canton, South Franklin, and South Strabane Townships, as well as the City of Washington. Together with our neighboring departments, we handle well over 300 emergency and non-emergency calls annually.
In addition to firefighting, we respond to public service requests and prioritize urgent medical situations, including man-down incidents, CPR in progress, and choking emergencies. We take pride in our commitment to fire safety education and prevention initiatives. As an ALL VOLUNTEER team, we collectively dedicate over 10,000 hours each year to fundraising, emergency response, training, and fire prevention efforts.
